Obamas’ New Netflix Comedy Series Inspired By Trump’s Chaos

New series about President Trump’s transition with laughs and documentary elements

Barack and Michelle Obama are set to produce a new comedy series on Netflix.

The chaotic transition of President Trump will inspire events in the series. This movie will be created under their production company Higher Ground which launched in 2018. Production of the series is set to begin at the beginning of 2021. The name of the series will be The G Word with Adam Conover.

As the title already predict, a US comedian will be the main character of it. You may know him from the Adam Ruins Everything or BoJack Horseman. Throughout the episodes, he will look inside of the government and its functioning. He uncovers behind the scenes for the Netflix audience and sparkles them with laughs and documentary elements.

Based on the best-selling book The Fifth Risk by Michael Lewis. His works have been adapted into several high-profile features, such as The Big Short (Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, Brad Pitt, Christian Bale), Moneyball (with Brad Pitt) and The Blind Side (Sandra Bullock).

Conover was very pleased by the situation and wrote on behalf of this news on his Twitter. For the people interested in the official synopsis, we include it below:

The United States government affects our lives in countless ways, from the food we eat to the money in our bank accounts. But despite the many hours we spend obsessing over politics, almost none of us know the first thing about the massive organization those politicians are supposed to run. Instead, ‘government’ has become a dirty word that we’d rather not talk or even think about.
